Environmental Awareness

Environmental Awareness

Anthropos Festival is deeply committed to treading as lightly as possible on the earth. We are working toward becoming a zero-waste event and ask all attendees to share in this responsibility.

No Plastic Glitter or Confetti

Plastic glitter and confetti is strictly prohibited on site. Microplastics cause serious harm to ecosystems and wildlife. If you want to sparkle, please use biodegradable glitter only.

Zero-Waste Policy

We have decided against the usual rubbish deposit within the ticket price, because we believe grown-ups can clean up after themselves without financial compulsion. We will provide waste infrastructure so you can select and dispose of your waste in the least harmful way. Take home what you brought. the land should look the same (or better) when you leave.

Waste Sorting

We provide clearly marked recycling and compost stations throughout the site. Please use them! Sorting your waste correctly is one of the most impactful things you can do during the festival.

Compost Toilets

Please use the compost toilets correctly. only urinate in the designated urinals or pee palaces where available. Always add a cup of sawdust after each visit to the compost toilets. This is vital for the composting process and keeps things smelling fresh for everyone.

Sustainable Travel

We actively encourage carpooling. A car full of people parks for free. We donate to Ecolibrium (formerly Energy Revolution) for every parking ticket sold, to help offset fossil fuel miles to the festival.

Natural Soaps Only

When using showers on site, please use only natural, biodegradable soaps and shampoo products to protect the local waterways and ecosystem.

What You Can Do

  • Bring a reusable water bottle and reusable cups and plates
  • Avoid single-use plastic packaging where possible
  • Use biodegradable glitter only
  • Take all your waste home or dispose of it in our on-site sorting stations
  • Carpool to and from the festival
